Upper Secretariat

Co-Secretary General: Alex Bozzette

Alex has been a member of the HTHMUN Club since Freshman year, and Security Council is his committee of choice. Outside of MUN he is a second-baseman for the school's baseball team, a big Padres fan, and an advanced skier. He listens to alternative/ indie, classic rock, electronic, alternative hip-hop, jazz, and world music in his free time. This past year he interned with a judge in the court of appeals, volunteered at Mercy Hospital, and worked at The Scripps Research Institute where he conducted biomedical research over the summer. Among other things, he looks to combine interests in medicine, journalism, and international relations in the future.

Co-Secretary General: Estefanie Paje

Estefanie has participated in Model UN since 9th grade and recognizes its potential to develop public speaking and researching skills that may be applied elsewhere. In addition to her love for singing, Estefanie enjoys dancing hula/Tahitian along with jazz and hip hop. She is also the bulletin editor for High Tech's Key Club and a dedicated member of ASB. Throughout her spring semester, she interned at "San Diego Coast Keeper," a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the city's coastal waters. Her future goals include working towards one of her long-time interests by attending medical school and pursuing a career in pediatrics.

Chef Du Cabinet / Director-General of the Rock Church: Chris Nho

Chris Nho has been a pioneer in the 2008 HTHMUN team; promoting teamwork, raising interest, and having an enjoyable MUN here at High Tech High have truly been the fruits of his labor. Outside of MUN, Chris was ASB president of 2007, a member of HTH's first tennis team, and an avid bboy. Although commonly mistaken for his Bonita Vista Secretary General, Kevin Park, Chris and Kevin are separate people, not even related. His future goals for MUN is to change his position title, which we may seen soon. Otherwise, he has an interest in teaching, as well as starting his own business.

Director-General of HTH: Sam Atalla

Sam is a legend amongst the HTHMUN program; unfortunately, he is notorious for being the Bennedict Arnold of our club. Sam has been an active and strong member since freshman year, many would say that he had a strong potential to be the head delegate, and even a secretary general. However, in sophomore year, Sam got hold of leaked information (sources have not yet been identified) that claimed that he would not be recieving the position of Secretary General. Sam shook in anger; his plan was to strike back at MUN by joining the flag football xblock, here at High Tech High. For one year it seemed as if we lost one of our best. But, herocially, Sam appeared from the grime of the football team, with a passion for MUN in his eyes. He took what shame he bore and with that heavy burden, marched up the MUN ladder to become the Director of High Tech High for this year's conference. What else can I say about the man? A gavel at Tustin, a sleek mane he calls hair, one mysterious pair of expensive jeans. Sam is who he is. And who he is, we will never know.

Director-General of HTHI: Zac Sheffer

If you really want to know who Zac is, I will be blunt. He is hard working and his sense of humor is dry. It's almost as if one needs a bottle of water when conversing with him. But that is not to say Zac has somehow managed to be one of the greatest contributors to MUN, yet remain a typical housecat by the end of the day. Outside of school, Zac writes poetry. He can be defined as a poet, and fits into every description of the word. Witty? Zac. Charming? Zac. Thoughtful? Zac. Zac. Zac. Zac.

Director-General of HTHMA: Bradley King

Bradley King, commonly known as BK. The Burger King. However, we here at HTHMUN discount the B, simply refering to him as the King. Bradley is powerful, with such a high degree of blackbelt that even mathematicians have not calculated a polynomial with that many degrees. Ever see x^infinity? Neither have I. Bradley has an interest in international politics, which makes him a "go to guy" for any amateur MUNer. Wondering what the population of the United Stat- "301,139,947 (July 2007 est.)" I hear Bradley say off in the distance. As one of the most deadly delegates in HTHMUN, we prize Bradley and herald his presence before every meeting. What is one word to sum up Bra- "Best" -he says off in the distance.

Design and Production: Anna Vacchi

Anna is one of High Tech High MUN's prized delegates. Her charm is not unmatched by her witty phrases such as, "I concur." and "Subsidize it!" She is always on top of her game, sharpening her tools on and off MUN season. To delve a little bit into who Anna is, we are once again led to Sam Atalla. She and him are currently in a dramatic relationship that has captured the attention of this MUN club. Why, just yesterday Sam caught Alex buying Anna a starbucks, while the whole time, Anna had a secret liking for Chris. But don't let this complicated world turn your view of her around. There's only one delegate in this whole world who can make copies of awards while telling us all that we're not matching. Well Anna, as you would nicely put it, "Subsidize it!"

Design and Production: Megan Morikawa

For Megan I have written a poem:

Megan

Twice a week we journey to a land that I view as desolate and empty
I dread the humid rains that will wipe away all hope of joy
I weep at the thought of what is to come in the next hour

Then, I catch a glimpse of your hair, swishing in the wind.
You turn around and the burst of fragrance relieves all worries.
In my mind, I'm raving around like a lunatic, but in actuality, I remain timid and standing.

You wave, and I wave back,
A multitude of words come to mind, but none fit what I feel.
So I just say one.
Moriwowa.
